Method

Step 1:

Place all the ingredients from table A into a mixer with a beater and mix on a slow speed for 2 minutes to form a smooth paste.

Step 2:

Gradually add the contents of table B into the mixer on slow speed over 2 minutes then scrape the bowl down. Mix for a further 3 minutes on medium speed until the mix comes together.

Step 3:

Tip the gingerbread onto a clean work surface and pin it out until it is about 1cm to 2cm thick and using your desired cutters cut out shapes, animals or people then place them on a baking tray with baking paper.

Step 4:

Preheat the oven to 180oC/160oC Fan/Gas mark 4. Place the gingerbread in the oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until its slightly golden brown. Leave them to cool on the baking tray for 10 to 15 minutes then transfer them onto a baking wire to completely cool. Form here you can decorate them how you like. Enjoy!
